The latest technology for your tires has arrived at Carter Chevrolet. We are proud to offer nitrogen air as a part of our comprehensive service line-up. Nitrogen air has a number of environmental (and cost-saving advantages) when compared to regular air:
NITROGEN AIR Regular Compressed Air
Dry & Clean: Eliminates condensation which prevents rim and valve corrosion (rust) Oily & Wet: Supports moisture storage inside the wheel which leads to corrosion (rust)
Stabilizes pressure over longer periods of time providing safer and smoother ride Constant loss of pressure results in under inflated condition affecting drivability
Slows gas migration through rubber to less than 2psi loss over 6 months, creating less rolling resistance, better fuel economy, better wear and less heat. Faster "through the rubber" migration, 1 to 3psi is lost each month, resulting in low pressure, more rolling resistance, higher fuel costs, more wear and more heat.
