  • We recently purchased a 2013 Chevy Equinox. To say it was the best buying experience I have ever had is an understatement. Being 61, I have made a number of auto purchases. The experience at Carter's was the best. Honesty, low pressure, and a number of extras all made it a comfortable, and easy experience. We had seen a online ad from another dealer that was well below what my research showed it should be. First stopped at Carter because of previous great service work there. We were showed an actual invoice on the Equinox, and given Carter's price. We were actually encouraged to see the other dealer. Of course, it was a gimmick. Returned to Carter and purchased the Equinox. We had a specific color and model we wanted. Carter actually drove out of state to get the exact match! We took delivery, and it came with a full tank of gas, never have I taken delivery of a new car with a full tank of gas. There was no pressure or sales pitch for the after market offerings either. At the same time we took delivery of the Equinox, we had our HHR in for service. Carter gave us a loaner. Nobody provides loaners these days. We were so impressed we went out and purchased some appreciation gifts for the sales staff who worked with us, and a basket for the rest of the staff.   • Took my 2012 Equinox in for oil change, tire rotation, and oil life sensor firmware update. Turns out they did the update the last time I had it in which was weeks before I received the notice from Chevy telling me about it.   • We brought our 2009 HHR in for service, even though we purchased it used from a non-Chevy dealer. We have brought it in before, and with the excellent service we received, we made sure if it ever needed service again, it would come to Carter. In fact, on the first visit, the service dept. made us aware it was a warrenty item, which saved us a considerable amount. In was because of the excellent service that we received, that Carter was our choice when we purchased a new vehicle (a 2013 Equinox) in the past week. Great, honest service, and sales. Recommend highly, and believe me at my age (61), I have been purchasing cars, and requiring service for a long time.   • The service, once again was excellent! I discovered an oil smell and didnt know where it was coming from - turned out the transmission gaskets as well as the power steering pump needed replacing. I also needed brakes replaced. Diagnosis was right on. It was a big job, and Carter also worked on the total cost of all repairs which made it a bit easier on the budget.
